Mama i'm coming home

This weekend I'm going to spend some time at my parents house in Copsa Mica. My mom said last weekend, when I didn't went home for my dad's birthday, that she will twist my a neck if I don't go home soon, since it is a month since I was there. (I live only 50 km away from them)
Why don't I go more often home? Well first of all 'cause its Copsa Mica, small town, nothing to see or do, no Internet at home and my neighbourhood kind of sucks.

Last evening I was at the IS (information systems) meeting at AIESEC to discuss the tasks we have now as fresh members (not newbies anymore! :P). The tasks look very interesting, especially one, which implies to make software for the organization.
But before I should think about my studies, since I kind of neglected lately... I have 3 projects to make till the end of January and I didn't even started!! yay!

In the post "Changes in my life" you could see that I had some problems with my personal life, well I'm happy to say that they were sorted out, compromise is the keyword in a relationship I think.

More updates on sunday I think.....

Changes in my life

Yesterday i was astonished to hear that I changed a lot since I was at the National Preparation Seminar. C. called me and told me that. I strongly disagree, I am the same person, maybe with more knowledge, but the rest is the same.

I hate people who are pessimistic. I like to see the better part from life, not to search for problems, 'cause if you do that, for sure you will find. Love is a complex matter. Once you have it you must take opportunity of it, enjoy it, since sometimes it doesn't last long (but isn't love ever-lasting?)
If you have it, use it. If you don't search it. If you find it, enjoy it and don't think of the future.

AIESEC NPS 2007

As I said in my last post I was chosen to be a delegate to the national conference of AIESEC. Well now I'm back & impressed!!
The conference was between 28 November & 3 December, 5 days to be exact. Because I had problems with money (as usually) I was forced to do something I didn't consider to do -> hitchhiking 400 km to the place where the conference is. All I can say about that it was fucking awesome, I didn't pay a nickle and we arrived before the other delegates :D (same thing on the way back)
At the conference there were all sort of companies, small, medium or big like the banks ING & Piraeus, AVON, Sensi Blue etc etc. There were some IT companies too like Endave, SeniorTech or Brainspotting which held a seminar for the people who choosen Technology. I expected more from the IT training, but they didn't stood up to my expectations.

When I will have access to a scanner I will publish our agenda here so you can see how busy one day at the conference was. We had Breakfast at 8 AM and from 9 AM till 11 PM there were workshops/seminaries all day (of course lunch & dinner too).
The holl concept of the NTS was awesome. We worked on teams, discussed each of us our ideas in group sessions and had a team while we stayed at the conferece. In those 5 days you can really get attached to those teammates even if you just met them. By the way, my team's name was "Lola's 9 indians", don't ask :)
Some might call me dork by now, but you are so wrong. I think the rule #2 of the conference "You are not allowed to sleep", which of course wasn't truth. But the rule was meaning the fact that after a long day like that, in the night there were themmed parties till the morning, so most of the times you didnt get to sleep. Oh and the most important rule, rule number 4, "Always use condoms" (we even got one in our wellcome kitt )
I will tell you more about AIESEC when I have the pictures form NTS 2007.

One last issue that I wanted to write is about the AIDS International day. I know it just passed but I think we should always remember the people that past away and most importantly to accept those who carry the virus. (maybe now people will say I'm infected as they said that i'm gay when i supported the gay people, don't worry I'm not :P ) At the conference we also got the simbol of AIDS fight, the Red Ribbon which some of us (too few) wear it at NTS.

Pictures & updates soon, I promise :D

NPS here i come :D

Salut Tomita ! In urma interviului ai fost alocat pe departamentul de Marketing - Information System. Iti dorim o experienta AIESEC cu cat mai multe relizari. Felicitari!
Translated: "Salut Tomita! After reviewing your interview you were assigned to the Marketing Department - Information Systems. We wish you an AIESEC experience with many achievements. Congratulations!"

Yep I made it guys, I'm the Information Systems at AIESEC. I didn't posted in a while because i was busy working on a project called "World Wide Cultures". The porpuse of the project is to learn the new members of AIESEC about the principles of AIESEC and to teach different culture to different people.
Each team had its own country to describe at a 4 hours conference. Our team found a German girl to come up front and speak about her country, truth & myths. We had to have our own identity, so the team's name was The Painkiller which is the name of a cocktail ;) Also we had to have a poster of our presentation and a name badge. Here they are:

The presentation went well, the projects were interesting, we had people bringing student from Germany, Netherlands, Austria, France, USA and Italy.

Between 28th November and 3rd December I will be at a national AIESEC meeting called NPS, where there will be more than 600 AIESEC members. This will be huge, interesting and super dooper fun!!! :D
